Searching for the best light display is a holiday tradition for millions of families, whether they live in the north or south, driving through snow and ice or sunshine and cacti. Sunset Park in Las Vegas is making this tradition a bit easier for everyone in Las Vegas by hosting a brilliant holiday lights display, The Gift of Lights, for an excellent cause.
The Gift of Lights, spread across 150 acres, features more than 400 animated and sparkling scenes displayed in a convenient, comfortable drive-thru setting, creating a holiday wonderland. Grownups and children alike will enjoy more than 8 million sparkling lights. This year, the Gift of Lights features an expanded two mile drive-through route. Be on the lookout this holiday season-- Santa, Rudolph and Frosty are scheduled to make surprise visits, spreading holiday cheer.
Named one of the top 10 holiday events in all of North America by both AOL/MSN and Citysearch.com, the display is open every Thursday through Sunday now through January 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Thurs. and Sun.) and until 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is $13 per car. Those donating a bag of items for Goodwill receive a $2 discount. Proceeds for the Gift of Lights benefit Goodwill of Southern Nevada and the Clark County Scholarship Fund, through January 1.
